Image is not a filter. It is coherence
Published · GINIE PROD
Image too often arrives afterwards, like a layer. A backdrop, a light, a fashionable typeface. Then we wonder why the public cannot tell who you are off the LIVE.
Coherence is not uniformity. You can change a jacket. You cannot change your centre every week. If the sound says one thing and the visuals another, people believe the visuals — then they stop listening.
We work on image the way we work on an arrangement: by subtraction. What is too much? What imitates another world? What would remain if the effects were taken away?
On TikTok the image is already there, raw, sometimes more honest than a shoot. It is material. It still has to hold when you leave the vertical format and a cover has to live alone, without chat.
A label does not turn you into a brand. It keeps you from dissolving. If the image becomes a costume you no longer dare to leave, we have failed. If it makes you more readable, we have started.
